Everything you need during your stay
The two favourite pastimes for our guests are simple ones. Most people enjoy lighting the log burner as the fairy lights come on in the evening, and spending lazy afternoons outside their yurt soaking up some fresh air and sunshine. It’s part of the charm of staying on a quiet Worcestershire farm.
If you feel like exploring, or if the weather turns and you want something a little different, there is plenty nearby to keep you occupied. Worcester is rich in history, the Malvern Hills are close by for walkers, and family attractions are within easy reach.
Below you’ll find a hand-picked list of local places, walks, museums, attractions and days out that our guests return to again and again.
Worcester City
Worcester is a historic cathedral city with a spectacular 12th century cathedral which featured on the old £20 notes. The city still has a number of old Tudor buildings including the Commandery which is a museum about the civil war and Tudor House museum (free admission).
The city has a good range of shopping with large stores and many small boutiques on pedestrianised streets. The growth of the University in recent years has also led to Worcester developing a vibrant night life with lots of restaurants, pubs, bars and clubs to suit all ages and tastes. Other activities in the city include a visit to the Royal Worcester Porcelain museum , Worcester Race Course, Worcester Cricket ground or a walk along the river. Our glamping site is a 40 minute, 2 mile river walk to the city centre, or a five minute drive or bus ride (there is a bus stop at the end of our drive – you want the number 44 bus).
Malvern Hills
The Malvern Hills are only 8 miles away from the site and offer a huge variety of walks with spectacular views. There are a number of car parks over the hills or the number 44 bus runs from outside the Manor Farm pub to the foot of a number of paths up the hills. For more serious walkers OS maps can be purchased online or from walking shops in Great Malvern.

There are a number of pubs and tea shops around the hills to break up the walking – The Malvern Hills Hotel at British Camp is a particular favourite of ours for a dog friendly pub lunch, and we also love Faun cafe for heavenly homemade baked goods.
Severn Valley Railway
The Severn Valley Railway is working steam railway which runs from Kidderminster station to Bridgenorth.
It is a lovely day out. You can get on an off the trains at different stations on the route and visit their locomotive museum or walk between some of the closer stops.
It is a great visit for photography enthusiasts with lots of photo opportunities along the picturesque route alongside the river Severn.

West Midlands Safari Park
The West Midlands Safari Park holds over 165 exotic species with a four-mile drive-through safari where you can get remarkably close to the animals. It’s one of the most popular family days out in the region.
Alongside the safari, the park has a large adventure theme park, a walk-through discovery trail and an African village with feeding areas and viewing platforms. The newest addition is the dinosaur experience, a life-sized prehistoric trail with moving models, sound effects and plenty for younger visitors to explore.
The park is a 17-mile, 40-minute drive from the glamping site.
A great choice for animal lovers, families with children and anyone who enjoys a full day out with lots to see and do.
River Fishing
The River Teme runs just below the glamping paddocks, only a five-minute walk from your yurt or bell tent.
The River Severn is a little further at around twenty minutes on foot. Both rivers offer peaceful, uncrowded stretches where you can settle in for a quiet few hours with a fishing rod.
These waters are known locally for good barbel, chub and roach, along with the occasional surprise. The banks are calm, surrounded by trees and farmland, and it’s an ideal spot for anyone who enjoys unspoilt rural fishing without the bustle of larger venues.

Morgan Car Factory
The Morgan Car Factory has been hand building their classic sports cars in Malvern for more than a century. It’s one of the few places in the country where you can watch traditional craftsmanship and modern engineering working side by side on the same production line.
Guided tours run on weekdays, giving you the chance to walk through the workshops, see the wooden frames being shaped, and watch the bodywork and finishing stages up close. The guides explain the history of the company, how the designs have evolved and what makes a Morgan such a distinctive British car.
Tours can be arranged through their website. The factory is only a 15 minute drive from the glamping site, making it an easy and interesting outing for anyone with an interest in cars, design or local heritage.
National Trust

Whether you enjoy long walks, gardens, lakeside paths or exploring historic houses, there is plenty within easy reach of the farm.
We particularly recommend, Croome, an impressive country estate with sweeping parkland, lakes, follies and woodland walks. The house itself has an interesting history and the grounds are ideal for a relaxed day out, with lots of space to wander and a café for a break along the way.
It’s a good choice for families, couples and anyone who enjoys peaceful outdoor walks. Dogs are welcome in the grounds, and the estate is only about a 20 minute drive from us.
English Heritage
English Heritage looks after a number of historic sites across Worcestershire, from grand houses and ruined estates to smaller landmarks that tell the story of the county’s past. Their website lists everything that is open to visitors and is a useful starting point for planning a day out during your stay.
One of the highlights nearby is Witley Court and Gardens , a spectacular ruined mansion with sweeping formal gardens, woodland paths and one of the most impressive fountain displays in the country. It is a lovely place to wander, with plenty of open space, striking architecture and several viewpoints that make it easy to spend a few unhurried hours exploring.
Dogs are welcome in the grounds, and the estate is around a 25 minute drive from the glamping site, making it an easy and rewarding trip for families, walkers and anyone with an interest in local history.

There is plenty to see and do both on the farm and across Worcestershire, whether you want quiet walks, family attractions or a day exploring local history. Most of the places listed above are only a short drive away, so you can plan your days as you go without needing a strict itinerary.
