Glamping in the West Midlands: A Relaxed Countryside Escape Near Worcester
If you’re searching for glamping in the West Midlands, you’re probably looking for something that strikes the right balance. A peaceful countryside setting, a bit of comfort, and somewhere that feels genuinely welcoming rather than overly polished or busy. At Worcester Glamping, we offer exactly that. A calm, rural break on our family-run dairy farm, just outside the historic city of Worcester.
Set beside the River Severn, our glamping site gives you space to slow down, switch off, and enjoy the simple pleasures of being outdoors, without giving up real beds, hot showers, or a cosy place to sleep.
A West Midlands glamping break with space to breathe
The West Midlands is perfectly placed for short breaks and staycations, and Worcester Glamping makes the most of that central location. We’re easy to reach from Birmingham, Solihull, Kidderminster, Dudley, and across Worcestershire, yet once you arrive, it feels a world away from busy roads and packed attractions.
Our site sits on a working fifth-generation dairy farm, surrounded by open fields, riverside paths, and wide skies. It’s a place where mornings start slowly, evenings are quiet, and the pace of life feels refreshingly gentle.
Traditional yurts with modern comforts
Our accommodation is made up of handmade Mongolian-style yurts, thoughtfully set out across two separate glamping paddocks. Each yurt offers standing room throughout and sleeps up to four people, making them ideal for couples, families, or small groups.
Inside, you’ll find real beds with bedding provided, fairy lights for a soft glow in the evenings, and a log burner to keep things warm and comfortable on cooler nights. There’s electricity for charging phones, but the overall feel is still very much about simplicity and stepping back from everyday routines.
It’s glamping that feels authentic rather than staged, giving you the charm of camping with a little extra comfort where it matters most.
Ideal for couples, families, and friends
Whether you’re planning a quiet couple’s escape, a family break with children, or a relaxed get-together with friends, glamping in the West Midlands offers plenty of flexibility. Our site is family friendly, with open spaces where children can play freely, and a calm atmosphere that suits guests looking to unwind.
Groups can book multiple yurts within the same paddock, and larger parties have the option to book both paddocks together, allowing everyone to stay close while still enjoying a bit of space and privacy.
We focus on maintaining a peaceful, respectful environment, which makes the site particularly well suited to guests who value quiet evenings, fresh air, and a slower pace.
Countryside walks and riverside routes
One of the highlights of glamping in the West Midlands is the variety of landscapes on your doorstep. From our site, you can enjoy gentle riverside walks along the Severn, with a scenic route leading directly into Worcester city centre. It’s an easy, enjoyable walk that takes in meadows, wildlife, and views across the water.
The surrounding area offers plenty more to explore too, from the rolling countryside of Worcestershire to the nearby Malvern Hills. Whether you prefer short strolls or longer walks, there’s no shortage of routes to suit your mood.
City access without city noise
A big part of what makes Worcester Glamping appealing is its location. You’re close enough to Worcester to enjoy its shops, cafés, historic streets, and riverside pubs, yet far enough out to enjoy true countryside calm once you return to your yurt.
There are also excellent food options right on your doorstep. Bennetts Willow Barn, our neighbouring farm café, serves breakfasts, lunches, and homemade treats using milk from our own herd, while the popular Ego Restaurant is just a short walk away.
A simple, down-to-earth glamping experience
Glamping in the West Midlands doesn’t need to be complicated. At Worcester Glamping, we keep things straightforward, relaxed, and welcoming. Guests are encouraged to enjoy the outdoors, bring suitable clothing for the British weather, and make the most of the natural setting.
Communal facilities include clean, modern toilets and hot showers, along with simple kitchen areas for washing up and making hot drinks. It’s everything you need for a comfortable stay, without overloading the experience.
