Here are three of our favourite pubs in Worcester and beyond that we regularly recommend to guests staying in our yurts.

The Anchor, Diglis Basin

If you’re looking for one of the best pubs in Worcester within walking distance of Worcester Glamping, The Anchor at Diglis Basin is always top of our list.

From the yurts, it’s around a 30–40 minute walk along the River Severn into Worcester, and honestly, the walk itself is part of the experience. Following the riverside path towards Diglis Basin is one of our favourite local walks, especially on a sunny evening.

Situated right by the marina at Diglis Basin, The Anchor has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and feels tucked away from the busy city centre. It’s independently owned, family run and exactly the sort of place we love supporting.

The food is consistently delicious, the beer garden is full of atmosphere in the warmer months and it’s incredibly dog friendly too — which is always a big plus for many of our glamping guests. They’ve also always been welcoming to our children, making it a really easy, relaxed family option.

The Malvern Hills Hotel

Although technically just outside Worcester, The Malvern Hills Hotel is our personal favourite place to visit after a walk in the Malvern Hills, which we highly recommend during your glamping break with us here in Worcestershire.

Nestled at the foot of British Camp just off Jubilee Drive, it’s in an absolutely stunning location and makes the perfect stop after exploring the hills. If you’re planning a day trip during your glamping stay, a walk around the Malvern Hills followed by lunch or a Sunday roast here is hard to beat.

The hotel and pub have a cosy countryside feel while still being relaxed and welcoming. It’s dog friendly both inside and outside, and we’ve always found it very family friendly too.

Their Sunday roasts are genuinely one of our favourites in Worcestershire and the outdoor seating area is lovely on warmer days with views across the hills.

For guests looking for traditional country pubs near Worcester or somewhere to eat after walking the Malvern Hills, this is always one of our top recommendations.

The Diglis House Hotel

Another lovely riverside spot in Worcester is The Diglis House Hotel.

From Worcester Glamping, it’s around a 25–35 minute walk along the River Severn and sits right overlooking the river itself. On a sunny afternoon or warm summer evening, it’s a brilliant place to stop for a drink with a view.

While we personally find the food menu a little more limited these days and it’s no longer independently owned, it still has one of the best outdoor riverside settings in Worcester for a relaxed beer, glass of wine or G&T.

The terrace overlooking the water is the real highlight here and it’s a popular place for visitors wanting to enjoy Worcester’s riverside atmosphere.
